Jail staff state that they may give charges and bail by phone, but not court dates or release information. The Superior Court clerk is the correct contact for criminal case dates, filings, and outcomes.

The official directory lists Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Sheriff forms page says Monday through Friday at those hours. Call before traveling.

- For a booking sheet or an agency decision on a booking photo, use the Sheriff’s Application for Release of Public Record described on the Plumas County records hub.
- For current jail charges or bail, call the Plumas County Correctional Facility. Do not expect staff to provide court dates or release details.
- For a criminal case date, filed charge, disposition, or court record, contact the Plumas Superior Court clerk and use its record-search request process.
- For a non-emergency public-safety tip, call Sheriff dispatch. Call 911 only when there is an immediate threat, and never approach a wanted person.
- For an adult committed to California state prison, use CDCR CIRIS. CIRIS is not a county jail roster and has no photo field.
- For federal prison custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE detainee locator. Neither is a Plumas County booking source.
